The goal of this project was to develop and implement a visual identity system for a conference. This design system was then implicated in a self-mailer to advertise the event and get people to register.
Before this project, I was doing research on design conferences that were dedicated to Black designers purely out of self-interest. I was able to find a few, but not as many as expected. So when I was presented with this project I was excited to create a hypothetical space for Black designers to come together, create community and network. Through thumbnail sketches and mood boards, I was able to create the final concept below.
While the goal was just to create a mockup, this self-mailer could be shipped by the US post office. (closed: 5" x 5", open: 25" x 5" )
